Review of Flint Beecher v.s DEPSA 2017 Class C Semifinals

Flint Beecher defeated Detroit Edison 76-68 in the Class C semifinals heading to the state championship for the third year in a row.

The game started off a little shaky for the bucs in the first quarter when Edison wouldn't let the team score a bucket.

Shots were being blocked left and right.

In the second quarter AP Class C Player of the Year Malik Ellison finally started to find his groove and went on a scoring streak for the rest of the game.

Once Beecher landed its first lead in the second quarter, things went left for Detroit Edison. Fouls began to pile up as Beecher went to the free throw line continuously and the pioneers trailed for the remaining of the game.

Although Edison didn't get a chance to bring home a state title like their girl's basketball team did last Saturday, they put their unknown program on the map just by reaching the semi-finals.

Flint Beecher (22-5) will take on Grand Rapids Covenant Christian (21-5) for the Class C State Title on March 25 at 4:30 p.m.

College Student Stress

According to the  2015 National College Health Assessment  30 percent of students have reported a negative performance academically due to stress. Class, exams, campus organizations, family, friends, parties, work, internships, and don't forget the eight-page essay due on Monday morning! These are just some of the rambling thoughts that goes through a college student's mind, not to mention any financial problems or conflicts they have following from home. But  David Sneed , Director of Growth and Purpose for Students at Belmont University, said "saying 'no' is a great stress reducer." So...
